This exclusive opportunity offers up-close and personal encounters with our unique and rare wildlife.

The private tour is a 1:1 tour by one of our qualified wildlife professionals who will take you step by step around our wildlife sanctuary. Amongst these special experiences enjoy a private Kiwi and Tuatara Encounter.

We are able to tailor these tours to focus on specific interests and requests. After the tour you are given the opportunity to attend the conservation show.

Tours times: 10am or 2pm

Tours take 2 – 2.5 hours. Up to 6 people max.

More cowbell ❌ More bird bell ✅

Our wildlife team has been busy training Puku the pukeko to come running at the ring of a bell. Not only is this super adorable to watch, but it’s also important, too. Having Puku respond reliably to her special "bird bell" helps us quickly carry out health checks, head counts, or safely manage any emergencies in the park.

Turns out the ‘treats’ help, too!

Kiwi Park has been looking pretty enchanting lately 🍄🪩✨

Each evening, the park transforms into a glowing wonderland thanks to the fantastic work by the Luma Enchanted team. We`re thrilled to play a small part as the park hosts this magical event every night until the end of August.

Our wildlife team`s been closely involved, ensuring all our birds and wildlife remain happy, safe, and unbothered throughout.

Kea are highly curious and super smart, which means they need plenty of enrichment to keep their active minds busy. Our wildlife team is always coming up with new ways to entertain (and challenge) them, so naturally, we decided it was time to introduce them to their first musical. Starting strong with a classic, of course!
