Kiwi Encounters: 10am, 11am, 12.15pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3.45pm & 4.30pm

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before Kiwi Encounter

Maximum occupancy for Kiwi Encounter 50 people.

Kiwi House open at all times outside Kiwi Encounters for viewing.

Conservation Show: 11.30am & 3pm

Could probably do this all day. Aoraki is one of the kea here at Kiwi Park, and his favourite game to play is catch. These birds are renowned for their intelligence, curiosity and playfulness, and Aoraki, in particular, loves to goof around with our wildlife team as part of his enrichment. #wildlife #conservation #newzealand

Unfortunately, the evidence suggests otherwise. 🤔 Since their introduction from Australia in 1837, possums have wreaked havoc on native birdlife populations. Their are a number of trapping and eradication initiatives throughout the country, led by the likes of @docgovtnz, which are playing a vital role in reducing numbers. However, without any significant natural predators of their own, possums (and other invasive species, like stoats and rats) continue to pose a significant threat to some of our endangered native birds. #conservation #wildlife #newzealand
